Hexamita
Hexamita is a horrible disease that carries a bacterial infection that attacks the digestive system of fish through intestinal flagellated protozoa. This disease is usually (if not always) accompanied by the "Hole-in-the-head" disease (the external version of Hexamita), and therefore many treatment options treat for both diseases. The Hexamita diseases can affect almost all fish, but some are more prone to it; such as, large cichlids, Oscars and Discus fish. This disease can occur in almost all living conditions, however, it is less likely to occur in a well kept aquarium with properly fed fish.
